Vaping is the process where vapour liquids (also known as e-liquid or e-juice) are heated in devices called vapes (also known as electronic cigarettes) to the point where the liquid evaporates. Since there is no tobacco or combustion taking place within a vape there is no ash, tar, bad smell, nor the multitude of different carcinogenic chemicals and toxins which are found in the smoke of traditional tobacco products. In fact, after only a few days of vaping you will notice all the benefits of a normal quitting process e.g. breathing easier, smell and taste returning etc.What is in the liquid?
There are four main ingredients that make up the vapour liquids we sell:
- Pharmaceutical/USP/BP grade propylene glycol (PG)
- Pharmaceutical/USP/BP grade vegetable glycerin (VG)
- Pharmaceutical/USP/BP grade nicotine
All these ingredients in all of the products we carry are food safe and/or meet USP and/or BP standards. These organisations establish written and physical standards for medicines, food ingredients, dietary supplement products, and ingredients. These standards are used by regulatory agencies and manufacturers to help to ensure that these products are of the appropriate identity, as well as strength, quality, purity, and consistency.Where do we source our e-liquids?
Our local and imported e-liquids are manufactured within certified ISO grade laboratories. This means that all of our juices are of premium quality and come pre-mixed in varying strengths of nicotine, and remain sealed from point of manufacture so that you can be sure that your juice is untampered with.
We do not mix our own juices on-site, nor add nicotine to e-liquids on request.Vaping safety and etiquette.
Vaping is generally recognised as a healthier alternative to traditional tobacco products with a 2016 working party report from the Royal College of Physicians finding that the hazard to health arising from long-term vapour inhalation from e-cigarettes/vaping devices available today is unlikely to exceed 5% of the harm from smoking tobacco.
While vaping is fully legal in New Zealand, the requirements of the Smoke-free Environments Act 1990 apply, with the exception of the smoking ban in indoor workplaces which only applies to smoked tobacco and does not apply to vaping or other products that are not smoked. Individual employers and business owners can decide whether they want to include vaping in their smokefree policies.
Please be respectful of others and abide with the requirements of the Act when vaping in public.
All of our devices and e-liquids are strictly R18+.

As with any other electronic product, take care not to expose your vape to water or extremes of temperature. Do not use if damaged. Always charge your device where you can keep an eye on it.
If using an unregulated mechanical mod please ensure that you have a sound understanding of Ohm’s law and battery safety.

Do your products carry warranty?
All our products carry limited warranty for manufacturing faults. Under New Zealand consumer law the customer is responsible for the return postage of the product to us.
The Vape Shop accepts product returns and will provide a repair, replacement, or refund where:
- The product is faulty or is not of acceptable quality; or
- The product is not fit for its intended purpose; or
- The product does not match the description; and
- You can present a valid receipt or other adequate proof of purchase.
This policy only applies to products with a valid manufacturing defect, and does not cover drops, physical damage, user error, normal wear and tear etc. If a defective item is returned and shows signs of being dropped or damaged and this may have caused the defect The Vape Shop reserves the right to refuse a refund or exchange.
All returned items must include all original parts, packaging, and components within reason. If you do not have the original packaging we will not accept this as a return.
Prebuilt Atomisers and Coils: A DOA policy of 36 hours on atomisers and coils applies as these are classed as consumables (designed to be used and thrown away after a certain amount of time). Keep in mind that coils must have adequate liquid in the wicking material prior to firing to ensure the coil doesn't burn out.
Batteries: While batteries are also considered a consumable, in the case of an item being DOA we will happily replace it within two weeks from the purchase date (14 days).
Vapour Liquids: As all our products contain food grade ingredients we do not allow returns of opened bottles.What shipping options do you have?

Depending on location generally 1-7 business days. Every shipment is fully trackable and requires signature on delivery. Our standard service shipments to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide metro typically take 3-6 business days. Canberra, Hobart, Darwin and Perth metro typically take 4-7 business days. Add an additional day or two for regional areas. During busy periods such as late December these transit times are increased due to the large volume freight carriers are processing.
DHL Express Worldwide is typically 1-3 business days in their standard delivery network. Rural areas outside of this take an extra day or two but do not attract an additional "out of delivery area" fee.
