The Sony VTC5A is now available in NZ at a great price that rivals the cost of ordering from overseas. With a 2A continuous discharge rating higher than the VTC4 and 400mAh higher capacity, overall it's a superior battery and is in our opinion the best balance between capacity and high discharge.
Mooch has given the Sony VTC5A a maximum vaping amps (MVA) rating of 30A. You can pulse batteries above this but it is advisable to stay within the MVA, or inline with the maximum continuous discharge rating for a safety margin in case of a device malfunction.
